Another follow-up announcement today about a controversial invisibility formula. If like me, you were hoping for a jaw-dropping demonstration of this awesome new discovery, you’ll be disappointed to know now this may never be possible.
A human in Scotland, Dr. Andrea Di Falco was reported last week to have designed the first flexible meta-material that could interrupt and re-channel the flow of ordinary light to render an object hidden beneath it invisible. But has this scientist found the formula of invisibility only to see it taken away by the power of invisibility?
“Well I dropped it and now I can’t find it again,” moaned Dr. Di Falco. “We think the janitor might have swept it into the trash. He feels really bad about it. On the bright side, this means that it really worked! It really really worked!”
Dr. Di Falco is working overtime to re-invent the formula But until he succeeds again, we’ll just have to make do with the Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak. (See the video demonstration below.)
