SOS Monstrometer version 1.3 – What’s New!

Hail Survivors!

It’s now here! The Monstrometer version 1.3 update!

The BIG news is that playback of the videos which had previously been problematic for many of you should now be working perfectly. Please watch the videos and let me know how they work.

The Monstrometer 1.3 is now on the app store: http://itunes.com/apps/monstrometer. If you already have an earlier version you can update it for free just by visiting the App Store icon on you iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad.

New in Monstrometer version 1.3:

  • New result added – Ghost
  • Videos – The playback problems that many of you have experienced should now be a thing of the past.
  • Expanded interrogation for more accurate results
  • Enhanced sensitivity in interrogation mode.

We have added lots of articles and there has been a lot of interesting discussion in the comments so check it out. Plus all the videos on the the site should now be playable on your iOS device (iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad).

Graham and I are still working a really big set of updates to the Monstrometer and the website and hopefully someday new videos too so stay tuned and wish us luck and keep on keeping on! [I know it is taking forever!!! Thanks for your patience.]

Zombies Survive Car Crash

Breaking supernatural survival news from Portland, Oregon. A carload of zombies was apparently headed eastbound on I-84 when they lost control of the vehicle and rolled over shortly after 9:30 pm on Friday July 9th.

Several people who witnessed the crash initially thought that the occupants injuries were much more serious but it turned out that they were just advanced Stage II zombies. The zombies they were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident which enabled them to avoid serious injury.

“We’re glad that everyone is alive, despite being ‘undead’,” said Sgt. Greg Stewart of the Portland Police.

While all the zombies that were in the car were taken to hospital, Stewart said crews are investigating the possibility that more zombies were in the car at the time of the crash but fled the scene on foot, well not so much fled as shambled, but you get the point.

Anyone spotting unusual zombie activity in that general area should contact Sgt. Greg Stewart of the Portland Police – Zombie Containment Unit immediately.

It is now here! The Monstrometer version 1.2 update!

The Monstrometer 1.2 update has been approved on the app store and is now available. You can get it for free here: http://itunes.com/apps/monstrometer

New in Monstrometer version 1.2:

  • New possible result – Draconian
  • New possible result – Angel
  • Fine tuning of interrogation algorithm eliminated several possible errors
  • Improved security vs Agents of Area 51 (specific details are classified)

ZOMBIE ATTACK!!!

Hail Survivors!

I recently received a very grave -no pun intended- warning from Survivor Miles who I believe may be located in or near Texas. Survivor Miles recently survived a vicious zombie attack, armed with only his wits and hedge clippers. His parents unfortunately were not so lucky.

Here is the story in his own words from his first email: “Zombies everywhere! Man I’m not joking they ate my mom and dad and they just huddle and chew and moan! It’s terrible! My axe is on the other side of the house but be warned a real zombie virus is spreading!”

I was very concerned for his safety but when I read his second email I was even more concerned: “peoauuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuwuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuupp
ppppppppp i come for uu              wahem leasst exppppet ffoiolll”

“sorry one of the zombies was typing but i killed it and the ones infested be careful this is no joke, i got the axe but it broke so now i have hedge clippers… warn everyone! theyre coming from texas… theres a picture attached of a zombie that came in… trust me… the police dont believe me… the zombies dont leave the street…”

Will this latest zombie outbreak be contained to Texas or will this be the beginning of a major zombie apocalypse?Are the zombies taking advantage of the Leprechaun Lunacy of March to mount an offensive?

In the meantime survivors, prepare for the worst: warn your friends, family and neighbours, gather supplies, and scan your friends with the Monstrometer. And don’t let them near your computer. Judging from Miles’ experience, they seem to be learning how to use them – even if not with very good spelling.

You’ve waited for it! You’ve survived for it! Now it is here! The Monstrometer version 1.1 update!

The Monstrometer 1.1 update has been approved and is available for download from the app store.

There are several new improvements in Monstrometer version 1.1. They are:

  • Improved Interrogation. Now 17.6% more accurate!
  • Improved scanning performance. Now 32% faster!
  • You can now watch my webisodes directly from within the app! The link is on the first and last tabs. *requires Internet connection
  • You can now tap on the monster pictures for more information about that monster.
  • Improved web experience when visiting sethonsurvival.com from within the Monstrometer.
