This Week In Survival

Thanks to everyone who contributed to Survival this week! As we wrap up February and head into March you can all be proud to still be keeping on keeping on in this dangerous world we call home.

* Another pay it forward Survivor of the Month! Inspired by Mr. Mutt’s act of kindness, who is Devorah giving her iTunes prize to today? Check it out here!  Thanks Devorah for spreading some survival fun. I’m working on that email now.

*A cub named Aubrey stopped by very briefly, raising all kinds of questions. Anyone know a werewolf who may have accidentally er, fallen in love with a full wolf under the full moon? And what do you WWs call these cubs anyway? Anyone know? Anyone? Anyone?

*?wolf with a classic friend dilemma…how do you handle it when your species has declared enmity with your best friend’s species?

* It appears that CyborgBeastCop was not actually speaking theoretically but was actually somehow inadvertently responsible for the largest outbreak in both void chipmunk and zombie clone activity in recent memory. If you have some spare time and you might want to see if you can help him close the portal and destroy the cloning machine before the earth is overrun.

* If you are feeling either a strong urge to eat bananas or to dance or to dance while eating bananas then you might want to get checked out for this newly discovered medical malady.

* Werewolf13 has some good advice for werewolves being pressured to wear silver jewellery.

*Midnightwrath on turf patrol, what’s going on? Who was the mysterious WW who jumped into the fray?

Things were bad in Russia when that meteor exploded recently injuring thousands and causing millions of dollars worth of damage but recent evidence suggests it may have been worse with out a little intervention.

More to come as we continue our look at the week in survival that was. Now if you will excuse me for a few minutes I have to research “Closing Portals to the VOID”!!!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to Survival this week!  It was a bad week to buy a mirror, that much is clear after a haunted mirror was sold for revenge on eBay. However it was a good week to reflect on BlueDragonSpring’s question: aren’t all mirrors haunted? Got a haunted mirror or an opinion about mirrors in general? Why not weigh in?

On the bright side, thanks to the survivors here on the site, the mystery of the faery fire has been solved….Or has it? What do you think?

*March Madness begins early! A Rainbow Glider pops by this week – new leprechaun. Luckily he doesn’t appear to be here to torture me. Yet. Does anyone know the truth behind leprechaunic powers of rainbow teleportation? Is it really a matter of special shoes and a watch? Or gloves…?  Does this explain the Faery Fire?  What I wouldn’t give to find the end of just ONE rainbow this year!

*As suspected the da14 asteroid bus brought aliens. An entire busload of socially awkward aliens. Has Tikiria Ishiu gone from running a dreamcation travel service to running a charm school for aliens???? If so, will their assignments and tests include beings from SOS?

*LycanFang hit with a silver arrow while hunting. Will the Survivors advice save them? Will Gabriella’s WW rescue team arrive in time?

*A POE OUTBREAK? Sounds like something a Bone Wolf would do but it’s actually LycantheProtector…. What does it mean? 

*Katie is back with a full moon fever! She tried some silver gear and well, let’s just say now she is not just transforming, she is itchy! Could it get any worse? Oh yes, apparently it could…

*Dragon diplomacy! Will Mr. Jaffa succeed in convincing BlueDragon, the new dragon on the site to give him a talon for a dragon transformation spell? How long will it let him be a dragon for? Why does he want it anyway?  With Jaffa you can never be too careful….

*Werewolf Time! By the power of 3, will Devorah’s wish be? If it works, it’s pretty awesome! Or terrifying. Or both. Check it out here….

*Any advice for Kisa Akari on dealing with solar dragons…? Is just give up REALLY the best we can do?

*Werewolf13 phasing the night before the full moon. Any theories why? It could be too late but I’m looking into it now.

*LycanFang hit with a silver arrow when hunting two days ago hasn’t been heard from since. Did the Gabriella’s WW rescue team come get him?

*Posibilities set to try Devorah’s WW spell on the 25th. Those spells are pretty hit and miss. Will it work? Or work part way? Or work too well?

*RUSTPELT stopped by only to disappear too. Could he be a victim of the faerie fire too? Or just wolfing out with Devorah’s help? 

What a week in Survival! Hopefully you got something better for Valentine’s day than a ticket for a year on Asteroid da14,  like I did.

That’s right. True story. Naya was pretty mad. It came in an anonymous email on Monday. Was it Dazai up to his tricks? I don’t know.

The alphabet was unfamiliar to me so I had to consult with a few of the other aliens on SOS – Tikiria Ishiu and Belladonna Jade Asphodel Nightshade. We concluded it was a passenger ticket for da14. Not even first class – steerage. Yeah. While the offer was tempting, I knew that Naya would never forgive me if I went off world for the next 368 days so reluctantly I declined. And glad that I did now. I’m not convinced that craft will ever make it back to Earth now, after hurling that big rock over Russia yesterday.

Anyway, time to see what else is happening in Survival this week! Here come This Week In Survival links as I can figure them out…

*Suspected ghost werewolf Posibilities says  the ghosts in their home will keep away demons but Redman 2234 warns don’t trust them. What will Pos find out about these ghosts?

*Scarfur/RUSTPELT is being transferred to a WW containment facility after a public demonstration of were-rage. At first he was asking to be just left there but then Devorah and Lycanprotector offered to save him… will they succeed? Or are they going in blind to a trap? I sure hope they get more info from RUSTY before it’s too late.

*Weredude1 checked in just long enough to advocate DEMONS FOR PETS. That is so like him. Please note SOS does not and will never advocate training demons for pets. I guess that’s what happens when you are the half-child of a fallen angel or demon nephilim as Alex calls ’em. What kind of demon pets did the Weredude have? Will he tell? Do we really want to know?

*A mysterious riddle came in my email this week. Can anyone help me solve it?

 i am a sleek smooth and furry and have paws and nails that are long what am i????

Sound like a werewolf to you? Well, I already guess WEREWOLF but received no reply so now I need your help. Although the riddler’s handle could be “Icepaw.”  Any ideas? Please post below… I just hope it’s not a shapeshifter.

*Linvingwithawolf wonders if there can be a vampwolf or a werevamp or a mervampwolf or a vampwolfmaid and if she could be one…. ??? Any theories, please reply to LWAW here…

Welcome to This Week In Survival where we celebrate having survived the week that was, in one form or another, and attempt to summarize some of the highlights with links.

But first, as many of you know, my personal survival missions for this week were very simple:

1. Identify any potentially dangerous hellevators and make contact with Certified Hellevator Rehabilitator, Johnny Bauer. The first part, as you can read for yourself, turned out to be easier than I thought. The second part, I am still working on this. Turns out Johnny Bauer is a very busy guy this time of year but I’ll keep trying.

2. Get valuable free game promo codes from my zombie cauliflower-obsessed friend and fellow survival game maker Marc so I can pass them on to all contributing survivors this month. Well, as luck would have it, they arrived today – ten promo codes for Zombie Apocalypse: How Cauliflower Saved My Life.

Now I’m not going to lie, it’s a tough game,  I’m not going to tell you the cauliflower makes survival easy. But I am going to tell you that it does make it fun. *The strange story of “Werewolf Gene” unfolding here…strange family connections being revealed this week on the site…would your cousin bite you? WG is worried that her cousin Midnight might bite… Did she survive her visit to her cousin’s house? Is there a lycan family counsellor in the house?

*WHAT IS UP WITH ALEX? He has no memory and all we know for sure is that he doesn’t eat flowers. Which is a good sign. But he has been sending strange emails. Is he now the only  human in his school or maybe even his city? Has he exhausted  his wiz-wolf ways and turned everybody around him into supernatural beings? What do you think?  It’s just a theory. Only the normally secretive Alex can confirm or deny…

*Anyone notice an angry fairy around here? Fair warning – “Sweet Fairy” might not be so sweet afterall. But how did she break her wing? And is she really a vampire? 

*More unresolved vampire activity. Anyone know a mobile Synthetic Blood Bank deliver service for Vampire Godess? 

*I missed a strange biting report. But is it really a vampire biting? It sounds very suspicious. Read “Scarlet Vampire” fragmented report. (But not Dazai the bitter plant alien’s advice! Please. It might encourage him.)

*New Dragon Wolf named Dawson has just appeared. Seems to be chewing on a bone. Not a good sign. What kind of bone? Anyone missing a leg? Can the survivors sort this out?

*Loki suspects that her best friend might be a witch. Which would not be a good thing for Loki, who has a weakness for enchanted ribbon among other things. Got a friend who’s a witch? Give Loki some advice here…

*A royal werewolf visit this week – Werewolf Princess takes time out from her busy rehearsal schedule to say hi. Will she share some royal WW Tales?  Say hi to Wolf Princess here… 

*WARNING – Vampire Goddess is having difficulty controlling her thirst… where did I put that link again?

*Shadow Claw is back after a tedious vacation, the worst kind. Did he finally tell his human GF that he was a suspected lycan? If so did she stay with him? And what kind of tedious vacation did he have? Watching paint dry at the dentist office? Read about it here…
