Did you get to school or work with your pants intact? If so, you did better than this guy in Munich, who didn’t even notice the annual pantsing in progress. It’s the fifth year in a row the little looters have claimed the first month of the year to give unsuspecting commuters the full moon treatment.

(I make no apologies to any leprechauns who may be offended by my characterization of them. Yes, I’m aware this annual event may in fact be the work of the so-called Leprechauns of the Dark Arts who are ostensibly materially different from the so-called Light Leprechauns but it all just sounds like one big lepre-con to me.)

In other news thanks to the hard work of the HATTER, the frosty focus of FENRIR and the repeat appearance of THE REAPER, SOS can announce another Survivor of the Month, a cursed prize intended to thank a survivor who has helped us all survive  for the long haul around here at SOS.

Who will be strong enough to carry the curse this month? We’ll see who makes it through another moon…

Check back as I go back through the month that was to see. I’ll make some links and clues while I upload my new video the first Monstrometer Report and we’ll see how the night goes. Will anyone survive? It’s anyone’s guess…

Thanks to everyone who keeps on keeping on here at SOS. You are all supernatural survivalists to me, including in no particular order:

–>> NEWBLOUD on his Tajera Claws quest. Anyone know where to find these?

–>> WRAITH WATCH… HERE a WRAITH, there a WRAITH everywhere a WRAITH WRAITH… what is this wraith and what’s with that valise?

–>> RAINSTORM for stopping by to describe the haunted locker situation at her school. Does any of this sound familiar to you?  Did she find any clues in that locker?

–>> DARKONE – For helping his friend determine the difference between being a lycanthrope and a shifter. How did that turn out anyway? Also for sharing his research into the origins of Fenris. What does he have to prove to him anyway?

–>> LILITH – For  among other things, helping Fenrir  and Velanko defeat the Dark Year declaration and telling us about the portal at Stonehenge… not to mention her supernatural diplomacy with the Mediterranean witches and mer… Everyone knows it’s impossible to get witches and mer to work together!

–>> The number 9 for confusing me… can I crack the code before the moon sets and YouTube stops blocking my upload?

–>> Special Agent Backdraft — Did he win that bet?

–>> The HATTER for warning us all about the cannibal convention that could blow the lid on cannibal cloning farms when my investigation is complete.

–>> SCARLETT for having an idea… wait a minute. Maybe I should hear that idea before thanking her, this being Scarlett and all…

–>> WW? for reaching out before the full moon. Unfortunately, it was likely already too late for you. Hopefully you got to join a cool pack…

Whether you call it the Dog Moon or the Ghost Moon and/or your first moon, it was another big moon around here.

Did we survive? The jury’s still out. Stay tuned while Graham and I prepare to make another month full moon announcement tonight. Want to help us sort it out? Then follow the SOS messages and ongoing links to the supernatural situations unfolding on the site and wade in where you can. Your survival is guaranteed, 99.98%.

–>Is CHAOSWOLF still sparring with MR. MUTT?  who may or may not be possessed by a demonic pastry chef... or worse. Something about visions and a demon and what’s this about the throne of creation? Hanging out with Artemis? Shaking up metaphorical mountains? What’s this about hunting? Do we have a wolf hunter on the site?

–> Thanks to BLAZE for trying to figure it out even as he was transforming… although uh oh did he really call ALEX a puppy…?

–> But hey what’ s this tonight? RUSTY in corporate peril losing his WW senses after an attack and pack mate  BLAZE trying to make a deal with CHAOS to save him? Even willing to give up his own life? Nice. But why can’t CHAOS help? Is the MUTT MR. possessed or dead? Is this a rapture ready situation?

–> Looks like ANGELWOLF  bagged a pair of A-51 agents… wonder what they were up to? Did she get any intel?

–> ASHPAW stops by to clear up a few things and join the HOF onslaught… see her advice to RUSTY after the A-51 attackers killed his WW powers.

–> Could it be THE BEAST sold the cure to A-51?  Wait just a minute… this happened to Alex once. And now Alex is back… is Alex…? Could he be working with… ? I don’t even want to think about it.

–> Doesn’t take a psychic SYREIGN to sense the tension around here tonight. Speaking of which, somebody better tell this Mermish we have no pool…

–> Okay and there’s this VELANKO dude. Is he really here to help his WW friend?  Is he getting involved?

–> A SINGINWOLF stops by for a howl. I wonder if she’s looking for Adisa, who is probably trying to figure out how to lock her up. Guess that means it’s too late. Maybe she can sing this situation into submission…

Full Moon Message Contest Winner

Thanks to everyone who played the first ever SOS Full Moon Message contest! I hope you had as much fun re-reading the The Hall of Fame profiles as I did.

So many unsolved mysteries and forgotten treasures are buried in these survival epics. Like the exact number of ingredients needed to make a Daywalker ring, the origin of the Void Chipmunks and the Mantis Men, to name just a few. Whatever happened to them anyway? Better add them to the list of Important Things to Find Out.

But we may never know. Survivors come and go around here, checking in when it’s safe and moving on when it’s time, leaving only their legend behind for all to study and learn. I appreciate them all, even the ones who aren’t on the list yet, starting with the original Original, that is, the infamous Vampire A.A. to the latest visitor and all the email messages in between. Graham and I are always trying to think of new ways to help preserve and honor your survival tales and I learn from every one.

So to all of you who are keeping on keeping on, my thanks to you for helping us survive. In the words of Hall of Famer P5t5r:

A more loyal, dedicated, devoted, kind, courageous, and passionate group than us you probably won’t find.

And that was the full moon message! There were quite a few correct entries so we had to shake the phone and roll the dice after assigning each entry a number. So without further ado, the winner was that shifty therian Archaea Venomtongue who only coincidentally was also the first to get the right answer. A small iTunes thank-you card is going out to Archaea now.

Thanks to everyone for playing. For the next full moon we’re back to our regularly scheduled Survivor of the Month. Oh, and don’t forget the THREE MILLION mark. The screenshot closest to three million even wins! Alex is the one to beat on this one. He doesn’t say much these days but he is supernaturally fast on the million marks.
