Wow, that was close. After a howling super moon rocked by storms and alien craters, SOS appears to have survived again. No joke, it’s always a surprise for us to watch another moon fall and find we’re still around. So thanks to last month’s SoTM LEAFPOOL and everyone else who survived with us this Supermoon. You know who you are but if you don’t know who they are click here and read all about it.
In fact, after a full moon enclave held here at SOS HQ, I’m happy to be hinty today there will indeed be lots of new stuff coming between now and Halloween, new videos, at least one new Hall of Famer and more.
And now on to the new Survivor of the Month announcement…
A quick review for those who are new. Survivor of the Month started years ago to thank some Survivors who were supernaturally helpful here at SOS. Survivors of the Month answer questions, reply to survivor comments, contribute their own reports and generally encourage others to keep on keeping on in various unique ways. There’s a very small prize. Usually a very small thank you gift from iTunes combined with a feature profile page that I write and generally get approximately 53.2% accurate. We used to choose SoTM a number of different ways – just give it to Survivor #1: Alex for instance, but then we created a Hall of Fame and things got a little looser. Speaking of which did I mention Graham and I have officially selected at least one new Hall of Famer to announce next month? I did? ‘Nuff said. On to the SoTM then:
Guess the Survivor of the Month
1. He once survived a Wendigo attack using this trick –>> never look into their eyes.
2. If this SoTM could fly over your head on a sunny blue-sky day, you might feel a ripple of air or see a shadowy outline but he would remain almost invisible. Fortunately, he prefers to travel by water.
3. Although once bitten by a werewolf who was also his best friend, this SoTM never turned.
4. But in the wake of this incident, this SoTM would develop a lasting affinity for the lupine kind, defending them against all.
5. Like many of his draconian kind, this SoTM makes his home on an island.
6. He provided excellent intel on dealing with Black Ice Dragons. And as soon as I can determine the best material for muzzling one as per his technique, I’ll pack Graham’s bags for Russia to test it.
7. He is very knowledgeable and you might even say philosophical and poetical on a number of important topics. I can always count on this SoTM to add to or clarify a supernatural situation in progress, maybe especially his own.
8. On that note, this SoTM actually replies to questions and comments, mine and others. It’s a rare quality that I appreciate a great deal. Not quite as rare as survivors who actually leave questions and replies for specified others, which he also does quite often, but a very close second.
9. Gamely volunteered to help Agent TL map the multiverse, no small task. If you thought Google cars were fun, wait until you see what they will use…
10. Has a healthy respect for sea monsters but still prefers to travel with them than by air.
…as if you haven’t guessed it already, the Survivor of the Third Supermoon is in fact ASSANJIN, whose profile will be posted hopefully later today as soon as I receive direction from him in regards to his small thank-you prize. Unfortunately, his island lair is too well protected to receive an iTunes card so Assanjin must choose from:
1. An SOS t-shirt.
2. A small donation in his honour to the charity of his choice.
3. Passing the prize along to another Survivor on the site, as both Mr. Mutt and Devorah have done in the past.

Thanks for keeping on and for giving us a good laugh here at Survival HQ.
Survival is a process, not a sprint as I always sometimes say, and sometimes its a slog. The community page remains one of the best examples of this on the site. I too am interested to see when the community page will be ready! I no longer even promise it will be done soon, but I do promise that it is in fact on the SOS wish list for Graham.

That makes a lot of sense. A lot of times survivors don’t reply to others or when they do reply they don’t “talk in” with the others. It’s not ALWAYS necessary — every survivor contributes in a unique way to helping others keep on keeping on — but I always appreciate those who are supernaturally good at the reply and work in with others, including you. It really helps SOS to survive because it means that Graham and I can concentrate on other things for a while, like an update to the Monstrometer, or maintaining the site or finishing a video. Or just surviving another day… as most longstanding survivors know, SOS is a lean operation of volunteers all of us just trying to stay alive.
BTW –>> can you check yer email at your earliest convenience and lemme me know the answer to my question re: prize at seth@sethonsurvival.com. Okay wait nevermind I see on my phone that you already replied. I will reply to you soon-ish, need to have a convo with Graham…

Also, I was at school today and I have a friend that’s a werewolf and he said my spirit was strong and that our spirits were clashing and he couldn’t be around me for too long or he’d have a really bad coughing fit, and he did, and I felt bad..also he said I’m an alpha which I doubt but maybe I am because his spirit reacted that way to mine??
The soul of an Alpha imposes authority over Betas by nature. Meaning those of lower ranking just feel attracted to and just naturally go along with one who is born an Alpha. It is both an earned title and a birthright.
Hmm, well he’s also an alpha and a purebred so I don’t know if I need to stop being near him or if we need to work this out or something..
Oh, have you heard of the term Daemonis? The Alphas of Alphas. They seem like royalty almost in their way of being, these alphas are rare and powerful. They actually have a voice so imposing that lupine of lower rank Alpha, Beta or Omega must obey. It’s almost comparable to humans, many humans with big guns but then comes another human with a bigger gun and he is now leader. Daemonis are basically Alphas with even more bite force, strength, stamina, speed, intelligence and authority, up to twice or even three times as much as an ordinary alpha.

Plus they are unusually large, they inspired the tales of the big bad wolves from fairy tales. They generally shift to half the size of my weight in drache form. And we drache weigh thousands of pounds so yeah, look at them, that’s a beast.

For example, I started out at YLL as Leafpool and then I changed my name to Elfida Echoleaf. You can change your name whenever you want, it’s not that hard at all.

Yes it does that. You need an email for your account. You enter your username and password to enter. Sometimes it calls you by your email, it’s all right.

Oh, is that all? Very simple technique. First, clear your mind. Focus on the wolf within. If you see her, that means she is ready to come out, if not, you must wait. Now remember, meditation is a very arduous process. As for my afore comment, forget it. I apoligize for the rudeness of the tone and such, but that is what Eris was saying. Also, if you do this even after your first shift, your wolf and you will form enough bond that you might be able to even remember when you shift, and be totally conscious while it happens! If nothing else, look at other survivors on the site. I’m sure someone had a similar problem to you before.

Well I know something that can work but you have to be patient…first close your eyes and relax…find yourself with no thoughts at all… try not feel until the moment is right and then picture your inner wolf…call the wolf out and greet the inner wolf with arms wide open…you’ll start to feel your inner wolf showing through you…soon enough you’ll be able to show your full inner wolf form and then it’ll be a snap to transform…don’t worry if it doesn’t work it just means you need to practice that’s alls…I had werewolf friends who had this problem too, it was hard for them to do this because their emotions were blocking them so don’t feel just breathe and let your wolf do the feeling for you…
So… Basically exactly what I told you.
Different from what I told her…way different…it’s more then seeing your wolf it’s about being the wolf while still managing it control your wolf…I would give credit to all werewolves that’s something hard to do without practice….

Huh? Ive never been able to explain this but today when my class was playing a dodgeball type game called Hurricane Katrina the little hula hoop “house” one friend and i built for the game didnt get hit from ANY ball thrown at it but after my class played i deceided to randomly twist my hand and the “house” fell while somebody was sitting in it. Many years ago, i once made a tv remote move about an inch without me touching it it was on the floor and i was lookind down at it from the edge of my bed in my room just holding my hand out towards it and of course trying to get it to move without touching it as hard as i could. What would that mean
